Be Your Own Blender Master
Join our first-ever whisky blending workshop! Guided by Ms Wing Cheong from Mizunara, the experience involves sampling of 3 unique, limited edition whiskies from around the world. Step into the shoes of master blenders and craft your very own blends – we will uncover the secrets of blended whiskies and how master blenders skillfully combine different cask types and ages to craft complex, balanced expressions.
The session also includes a welcome cocktail, cold cut platter and a take-away 200ml of your blended whisky bottle. Spots are limited – sign up now!

Pokeno “Prohibition Porter” First Fill Bourbon New Zealand Single Malt Whisky

Distillery: Pōkeno
ABV: 46%
Cask: First fill bourbon, Porter beer
Pōkeno Prohibition Porter Single Cask is a collaboration with Liberty Brewing (a Beer producer located not too far from Pokeno) and has been first matured in first fill ex-bourbon barrels and then finished for 9 months in porter beer barrels which had been first used to mature Pokeno Whisky, then sent to Liberty for their Beer and then re-sent to Pokeno for the finishing. A limited release of 365 bottles worldwide.
Tasting Notes: Smooth and rich single malt, with notes of cocoa and chocolate, which combine beautifully with the citrus and vanilla.
Yamazakura Brandy Cask Finish Pure Malt Whisky

Distillery: Yamazakura (Sasanokawa Shuzo) / World
ABV: 46%
Cask: Bourbon barrel, brandy cask
Matured in bourbon barrels for about 6 years and a further finishing in Brandy Casks for about 1 year, only 300 bottles were released. While sweet & fruity on the nose (with hints of malt and subtle smoke), the palate brings through dried prunes combined with sourness of green grapes, malty notes and tannins with a pleasant lingering finish. A very enjoyable bottling indeed.
Kilchoman Casado Cask Finished 2022 Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Cask: Bourbon cask
A limited release for 2022, the Kilchoman Casado (Portuguese for marriage) is matured in fresh bourbon barrels for 6 years before 38 casks were married together for 2 years in two 6,000 litre Portuguese red wine vats.
Nose: Smoke comes first and balanced with ripe stone fruits: peach, plum and cherry. Palate: Pepper and spice at first taste. Dry, salty peat smoke with apricot and lemon. Finish: Long finish with spices, the cooked fruit notes bring a sweet-jam balanced with Kilchoman smoke.
