From June 1, 2023, Uncle Ming’s Whisky Bar introduces a brand-new themed whisky month. Every month will have a different theme. September is a Kavalan month, and we offer a Kavalan Single Malt Whisky flight during this month! Price starting from HK$350.
Kavalan Distillery established in 2005, is the first whisky distillery in Taiwan. It took only 9 months to build the distillery, from April to December 2005. As most of the distilleries in Scotland usually spend 5–6 years starting from scratch. Each year, Kavalan takes part in one of the most well-known international competitions, the “International Wine & Spirit Competition.” Other authoritative competitions include the World Whiskies Awards, the International Spirits Challenge, the International Review of Spirits, and many more. Kavalan has collected over 450 gold awards over the years.
Also, Uncle Ming’s Whisky Bar proudly organizes whisky pairing night highlighting Kavalan Single Malt Whisky exclusive on 21 September 2023 (Thursday). Selected Kavalan Single Malt Whisky will be introduced by Kavalan Regional Brand Ambassador, Ms. Britney Chen. She will showcase the amazing story behind Kavalan Distillery and aim to connect with whisky enthusiasts and connoisseurs, spreading the beauty of Taiwanese craftsmanship and the excellence of Kavalan’s products worldwide.

A brand-new “Infusion” dining concept comes to TANGRAM‘s table.
Our new French Chef Hubert brings his experience to TANGRAM, the all-day dining restaurant. Trained in Michelin-stars restaurants in France, Chef Hubert wants to innovate and keep his cuisine authentic. He comes up with a collection of “AKI Bowls” food concepts presenting consommé, a type of clear soup from his native region of Normandy. Ingredients are infused for 8 hours of slow cooking to extract rich flavours filling Japanese noodles with a French twist.
